COURSE INTRODUCTION
Supply chain and Logistics are integral to project planning and implementation and a key functional area. Thus, this course would equip participants with technical skills desired in supply chain & logistics. It is intended for those who work in the Public, private, and humanitarian sectors, and fresh university graduates who are willing to advance his/her soft skills so that they can easily settle for decent and deserved jobs. Course participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of Supply chain and logistics including but not limited to Procurements, warehousing, transport, Distribution, asset management, fleet management, and cross-cutting standards with practical scenarios of how day-to-day supply chain & logistics are structured.
WHO WILL FACILITATE THE TRAINING?
The course facilitator has six years of supply chain and logistics experience at different organizations including Oxfam International, Africa Educational Trust, and others. He is highly skilled in complex supply & logistics in humanitarian contexts, planning procurements, warehousing, fleet & asset management, distributions& delivery and contract management, and process improvement. He also has training facilitation skills including but not limited to preparing a conductive environment, adopting adult learning principles, connecting with and responding to the needs of diverse learners; Presenting training context in a way that is interesting and relevant for trainees and helping participants transfer & apply the skills and concepts learned. In addition, He has completed different certified Supply Chain & Logistics professional courses/pieces of training including but not limited to HELM (Humanitarian Essential Modules), advanced Certificate in CIPS (Charted Institute of Procurement & Supply), Train of Trainers for PARCEL (Partner Capacity Enhancement in Logistics) along with Bachelor Degree in Business administration and Masterโs Degree in International Cooperation & Humanitarian Aid.
DETAILED TRAINING CONTENTS:
Module 1: Introduction to Supply Chain & Logistics ย
- Introduction to the course- with objectives
- Understand what Supply chain and logistics & their definitions clearly and easily to understand.
- Prepare and introduce Scenarios to be used as an example during the course
- Understand Current world Supply & Logistics works.
- The use of a Checklist for the duration of the course to help participants get the most out of it the course.
Module 2: Procurement Process
- Introduction to procurement management in detail.
- Cleary explain the Principles of procurement and why they are important to be adhered all times.
- Understand the Segregation of duties and purchasing during the procurement process
- Understand what is Procurement thresholds and their advantages for the organization/company in terms of monetary value, context, and the organizationโs risk tolerance.
- Understand Choosing the right procurement process concerning procurement thresholds.
- How to do the selection process of Bid analysis/ tender process (with practical examples)
- Different types of contracts and Contract development process.
- Best practices and frameworks to be used in Contract management for high-value goods and services.
- Learn and understand how Negotiation skills both in the contract stage and procurement process are done.

Module 3: Warehouse/inventory management
- Learn what is considered when doing Warehouse selection
- Learn and understand the best ways to make a Warehouse layout for maximum space utilization with considerations of health and safety.

Module 5:ย Asset & equipment ,Fleet Management Management

- Introduction to fleet management
- Learn different Fleet management documentation
- Learn how Fleet planning & management is done.

- Learn Archiving procedures and documentation that involve with supply chain and logistics including procurement, assets, and warehouse.
- Learn Health and safety measures to put in place & communication to effectively do operational delivery in supply and logistics.
- Learn and understand the Code of Conduct in work workplace.
COURSE APPLICATION PROCESS
In-person Class Fee
- We charge 70 dollars for the physical classes covering (the facilitator fee, course completion certificate training materials-presentations, and rich reading materials with linked videos) to the participants who attend in-class training.
- We have also flexible and self-paced classes for the online trainees with recorded course lectures
Online Class Fee
- For the online trainees, they just need to pay 40 dollars and get a course completion certificate and training materials-presentations and rich reading materials with recorded video lectures in Somalia by our facilitators together with regular mentoring and coaching for a minimum of 30 days including free job application guidance if needed
- The online classes will be open to all interested participants who have internet access in the greater Horn of Africa (Somalia, Somaliland, Kenya, and Ethiopia among other countries).

This training also is a great eye-opening opportunity for unemployed and fresh graduates who are willing to advance his/her soft skills so that they can easily settle for decent and deserved jobs.
THE TRAINING DURATION
This is a 5-day-long training with 3 hours of 50% theory and 50% practical sessions for each day. We have also flexible and self-paced classes for the online trainees with recorded course lectures. The course always takes one month.
